Yoga In The Park

We invite you to join our yoga practice under the canopy of an old live oak tree in City Park we have affectionately named "the Ahimsa Tree" or across the street in what we call the "Freedom Field."

Peaceful and calm, our mornings in the park serve as a feast for our senses. Sometimes our moves are flavored by the thick aroma of saucy barbecue or quickened by the Latin dance group stepping nearby. We breathe in at least 50 different shades of green and bathe in the sweet smell of magnolias soaking up all the vibrant life!

We share space with baby ballerinas, dog walkers, cyclists, Mardi Gras dance troupes, and all kinds of wildlife; even a slow roaming turtle joined us for a child's pose. We have held a downward-facing dog to the lonely notes of a local saxophone player more than once!

Yoga outside is fun and exciting! It teaches you to be accepting and loving! Even when someone is in our space, it's all good. It pushes us to shift, change, be spontaneous, and try things a little differently, nudging us to grow our yoga and be more compassionate and kind.

We are taking it week by week depending on the weather!

Sunday 10:15 - 11:15 am

(Text to see if class is on!)

Alternative space in case it rains, is at the Hanuman Hut our Mid-City Studio.
